vendors?

This is the wrong section to ask, but try out www.kingsnake.com. That's a pretty good site, and you can find multitudes of vendors selling on there. Most of them will be trustworthy. If you find something you like, you can always ask about the vendor on here to get confirmation they're trustworthy...

my vote is kingsnake.com. I have used it and never had any problems plus you cannot beat the selection. If you can though, I would highly recommend you deal in person and go to a reptile show so that you know EXACTLY what you are getting...

Depends on the reptile youre looking for :)

I was looking for a columbian redtail boa.. but my mom shut me down on that after agreeing to letting me get one. Ha. So I have to resort to some sort of lizard, was thinking maybe a red green iguana morph, or some kind of tegus. Are there any other interesting, docile, big lizards?

for your first lizard, I would recommend a breadie or a savanna monitor if you really want something big. be sure to read up as much as you can before you get either or even if you decide to go with something else because big lizards are pretty advanced and I have to cringe every time I see an iguana in a pet store because it almost certainly has a death sentence once it is bought. Many people think "Oh just feed it lettuce from time to time and it will love me back and be fine...." until they get it home and it whips its tail at them leaving a nasty welt so that they are afraid to go near it to give it its food and it starves to death....

sorry for the rant, just speaking from what I have seen many many times before.

Argie black and white tegus and red tegus make great docile large lizards if you work with them. Look on Kingsnake under monitors and tegus in the classified section.
