venezuelan pike

Quesion Where would be the best place to get a venezuelan pike From ???? I want one to finsh my tank off. i had one before but I had to get rid of it because on the tank size i had now i have a 125 gallon i want another one and dont know where to get one from no LFS has them and cant get anymore so i need help finding one
 
I would say 18" for a male would probably be close to average.
 
I don't know, there are lots who say they get that big, but, I have never seen one over about 14". That is a BIG pike, I can't imagine seeing one at 18"!!!
 
When I got rid of my ven, he was at 17" total length, including tail.

Don't get me wrong, all of the literature you can find on them online says they get that big, but, I have yet to see one against a measuring tape is all. The scope of a cichlid that size in an aquarium is pretty huge, i am 6'6", it is 18" from the inside of my elbow to the tip of my middle finger, measure it on your arm, you may be surprised. Again, I am not saying that you didn't have a Venny that size, but, I would like to see the tale of the tape once.

A couple shots of my male a couple years ago, he is still around, maybe I can put him on a tape measure for everyone.
