Venezulea Orino

anyone have pics of subadults-adults? ive got one at 5" inches right now. Very slow grower.

I got 2 columbian orinos and they are also slow growers lol. I had them since september i bought them at 3" and right now they are only 4" lol

Orinos are one of the slowest growing sp. of cichla..

haynchinook, how do you powerfeed him? does he just hit anything you throw in the tank? mine takes market shrimp but most days only 2-3 pieces in the morning and evening. and sometimes if he eats a lot the day before may not eat again for 2 days. i am even afraid to give him feeders in fear that he wont take shrimp at all anymore. sometimes he hits the shrimp like theres no tomorrow and then other just flicks his lips and lets it float by.

I feed them everytime i see that there are hungry. 1 shrimp and 4 silversides is what the orino eats. Mono eats about 15 silversides a day. And the Bigger mono eats 2 whole shrimp a day.
