I love the new look it gives it a more natural look.

Yea thats how I feel about it too. It doesnt make the colors pop like the power-glo T5's did, but the fish still look great. They seem to be alot happier too. Theres not as much bickering between the fish and they cruise around real slow and relaxed now. Im no fish psychologist but they seem alot more content.

One of and still is in the top five tanks on decor and stock regardless of size on here ..And the LED look great i saw them at an LFS recently and was impressed they had some on a few tanks do you get that Halede shimmer in the water?

Yeah it does get that shimmer. You can adjust the intensity of that shimmer by having the lights close the the top of the tank or raising them up a bit. The higher up they are the more gentle that flicker is, but it reduces the amount of light penetrating to the bottom quite a bit. I appreciate the thumbs up on my setup!

Definitely one of my favorite tanks!

Thank you sir, its a labor of love. I almost feel like my hands are tied b/c I want to do so much more. So much bigger, more stock, better filtration. The wheels never stop turning. All I need is more space! This tank is only the beginning :naughty:

Stunning!!!

Nice fish!!! U havta add more cichla though its a 350!!!;)...how's vacuuming that tank with that kinda substrate?

At one time there were several more cichla in there. Sold a Kelberi and lost a STUD mono and killer Ven. Orino to internal parasite. Pics of them below. R.I.P. But theres more cichla in the nursery :D. They arent ready to get in the ring with the heavyweights. Gravel vac. is kinda tedious. Not terrible but I do have to move some of the bigger rocks around to get under them and stuff. Seems like all the gunk settles under the big stones and driftwood. When I first got the tank it took me 3 hours to do a water change. Got that down to less than an hour now. Alot of practice. Usually do 50% water change and gravel vac half the tank once a week. The second half on the next water change. Alot of bio on that stuff I try not to disturb it all at one time.

R.I.P
