Vent me!

Moved over two kelberi and thought i might as well vent and measure them.

problem is, i dont know what i'm looking for when venting and I'm not even sure if they're mature enough to vent. here are some crappy pix.

first two pix are of a smaller 8"er. I think its a female?

last two pix are of my 11"er. I think its a male?

What do you guys think? I'm new to this!

Yea....the males have a triangular vent n the females have the more round/oval/circle vent...

haha thanks, but i'm not keeping the smaller one.. I'm hoping my other large kelberi is a female

Yep, I agree that first is female and second is male.

Oh I see. I just vented my 12" kelberi a few days ago and found out its a female .. gonna look for a male for her pretty soon.. good luck though hope you end up with a pair

It'd be nice to have a pair but I don't really mind if I don't. Maybe two males in the tank will make them more competitive to be vibrant!
