just venting....
so heres the story....
i was supposed to get 7 monos today.
2 monos were eaten by his big barra.
so i said,okay,then i'll just pick up 5.
and he also says i can have the barra.
well, today i travel almost 2 hours on bus and train to pick them up.
i wait another half an hour for him to arrive.
then when he brings the fish, all 5 6" monos are in a bag which is pretty small and was only half filled with water.
i pay the dude 30 dollars and leave, taking the fastest route home by cab.
it takes me another 1.5 hours to reach home and had to pay 10 bucks for the cab.
i see the fish gasping hard at the surface and urge the driver to drive faster.
i reach home and guess what...3 dead monos,2 upside down and breathing hard.

i quickly dump the fish into my tank without acclimating since all the water here is pretty much the same.
they swim erratically all over the tank and then settle to the bottom.
the 16" barra i put into the pond quickly and then proceed to hold the two monos in front of the current.
the two are upright now but still at the bottom.
in total the trip costs me more than 40 bucks including the fish and transport.
not to mention it took me over 4 hours.
and after all this,i end up with two monos at the bottom of my tank and a big barra in the pond.
ive let the previous owner know, and he says he will replace them when he can for me...at least he has the decency to do that.
im not exactly pissed off at him....just really pissed at the fact i blew off a movie with my friends to travel 4 hours to get some fish nad have them die...

pics will come soon as they start swimming again.
sorry for the rant....
