venustus odd body shape

I just bought this venustus beaus it has a wearied body shape , Its not as elongated as it cousins almost like Discuses in shape , Maby it was a development thing like the egg was squished or something If the pic dose it no justice or it looks normal to you ill get a few better shots (Just don't look rite to me)

Then why did you buy it? The anal part protudes out it makes the fish's stomach looks small.

yeah it does have a physical deformity. may look interesting when it grows. just dont breed from it. it needs a good feed also

I think it looks kind of cool. The body profile makes it almost look like an exotic black bass

Poor thing he does looked deformed. Hes pretty small yet get some good food into him and wait, his stomach looks more sunken then it should be.

I was hoping to get a wild looking specimen out of the box , it is on its way to fating up , Hope its a Male ..... Or I will discard

i really do not see it as deformed.. it maybe just slightly starved..somewhat sucken stomach... looks good to me otherwise... just a baby.. i am sure you will have it looking great under your care...
