Not a good week at all for me first i have been battling freaking bristleworms for the past two weeks (must have about 5 -8 of them in the tank) after a talk with mr reef it has been brought to my attention that they are not harmful to the tank but i posted some pics anyhow and was able to sneak one and capture him.

On saturday i noticed my white sebae anenome losing color and it was not open like it used to be, on monday i found him dead.

This morning i woke up to one of my aneomes feasting on a mandarin which i am confused because the mandarin is actually pretty big. I also feed the aneomes so i didnt think my fish were at danger...

my troubles started when my tang started to look like he had ick and this was about 5 weeks ago. i had been treating the tank with kick ick with no luck, he was the first one to go about two weeks ago. Next my royal gamma got ick and died. I was going to isolate my fish and treat them with meds or hyposalinity but i decided to try kent rx-p but i think i did this too late my daughters favorite fish the clownfish also died. Now i dont know what to do my tank is empty no fish and i dont know when I can add fish because i know there is still ick in the tank with their cysts. i am at a complete loss of what to do next.

All myfrags in my tank are growing nicely, the brain coral is growing, the goniopora are all doing well , so you get the point all my corals and aneomes are doing great.

What the next step for my tank??? How can i get rid of this ick?? There are no fish left except for a cleaner shrimp which has malted again, a few hermit crabs, and a nice fat sea slug.

When can i start to add fish??

No sure if i forgot anything but if i did i will add it as you guys post but thanks for the help again

First off id say keep your anenomes higher in the tank, as the manderin is a bottom dweller for the most part (unless im mistaken) so if there is no anenome then there is no eating of the manderin. At the same time its likely the madrine was also infected and therefore more likely to be consumed.
As for ich... I think it dies out without fish hosts... I could be wrong... but if you leave the tank with just its cleaners for a few weeks to a month you should be fine. Though I have little experince with marine ich.

anemones will eat anything that touches them especially a curious mandarin looking for food and not watching where its going.

well sorry about all the losses in your tank my advise is give the tank a good cleaning and now that there are no hosts the cysts and any ich in there will start to die off I would get a UV sterilzer to hook up to your system if you seem to get ICH alot and have it on a slower flow to kill of the parasites. Do a 50% water change or 35% min. on the tank, test it give it another week or two and slowly get a fish for the tank but, setup a QT tank so you can treat them prior to entering your display and you can take advantage of a simple QT system with a heater, regualar PC light, PVC pieces to hide in and a sponge filter. Then buy these 2 items here.

these 3 items can be great help for you in the future and as you can see they can help in your future livestock.

stinging things in general (nems, euphyllia corals, certain softies and LPS) just don't belong in tanks with mandarins, pipes, and horses at all...

sorry about the loss though
