as i have hever built a tank this size

it is to be a magor feature in my function center / restuarant

also planing a infloor tank as to be the dance floor this should be good

it is big so i need advice and help

filtration for this size
heating
what fish

in the infloor tank i am thinking port jackson sharks what other fish go with them

in the big tank i am thinking tropical fresh water fish lots of small - medium fish

thanks for any help i will reply as often as i can but i am a very busy person

Size of the tank depends on size of your wallet. The whole in floor dance floor fish tank idea sounds cool but I think you'll end up with a very stressed out and eventually dead shark. For the freshwater small-medium sized fish tank roughly how big do you want the tank? Are we talking a few hundred Liters or a few thousand liters? Give me a little more detail and I can draw some stuff up for you if you like with dimensions. As for fish stock being in Australia I'm assuming you can get quite a variety of low cost native rainbow fish.

just cant see an in floor tank hapining. you would have to have no air between the tank(floor) and water or you would only see condensation, besides the stress noise and vibration. great idea though!

The in floor tank is not a good idea due to vibrations but I'm not saying it's impossible, from a project based idea it's great but I can think of so many problems and possibly problems to get it any where near a doable idea.

As for the other tank, as stated above it's going to cost big time. I'd work out a rough budget, people here can help but it will be at local costs and then double the price from the base cost.

I wish you the best of luck and have subscribed, if you get it done it will be great:)

For a tank like that its going to need to be a poured reinforced concrete tank. something like this. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23529 and this http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48640
So unless you know how to form and pour your own concrete you'll have to call a contractor in to do that part of the tank. The filtration is also going to be very expensive.

i am quite confident at brick laying for retaining walls and concreting so i have no prob going that way
