Hi!
Firstly I would like to say that I'm not sure where to post this thread since this species don't have any room here. Ok here goes: i have an empty aquarium and I'm planning to go to the lake and get one of these beasts! They grow to 1,5 meter and is related to gars. The latin name "Esox Lucius" and they are more monster than Channa Micropeltes etc. Good thing is that I won't need any heater since it is a coldwater fish and during summer I need to freeze some coke-bottles and put in the aquarium to keep the water cold.
It's a fast growing fish and very predatory.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK :)

Oh, well I'm new to the fish and I was almost certain that they where related to eachother. Now that I've been proved mistaken I apologize! I will however have some big Lucius in my tank in the next days! Last one I got was 20" and I was thinking of letting it go to my tank but I let it go since it was a lill too big :) Im looking for some at the size of 10-12"

whats your tank size? other tankmates?

Tank size: 221 gallon

Pond size: 100-120 foot in diameter (can send pics) I have crayfish etc in there aswell.

Tankmates would be some: Perca fluviatilis & Rutilus rutilus Mostly for feeding the lucius.

I will let the fish go to my personal pond when they are too big for my 221 gal.
