Hard 2 get good pics with my stupid phonecamera so here is a vid. Its the same vid i posted in my media thread but no one answered my questions there so im tryin here instead.

Im just wondering. These 4 endys are from the same hatch (is that the right word) so how come 2 of em are very dark like voltas and 2 very light (like normal endys).

I think its awsome that they are darker but i would like 2 understand how, and why. The substrate is as all of u can see not of the darkest type, so it has nothin 2 do with the sub.

Note that its allot darker IRL than in the vid and it became a bit paler than normal because i tock the stones n stuff out of the tank 1 min before filming them.

Thx

How long do you have them in your tank? They don't look voltas to me. They are just captive breed. Captive breed endlis have been mixed with many variants thus some of the base color varies on some batches.

Yea, they are 100% CB but im wondering if one parrent can be volta or not.

To be honest, i dont know allot about the mixings, variations n stuff but do u mean that this is quite common? I've seen differences but never seen a variation in this degree on the base color with endlis before, thats why im so supriced.

I don't see any resemblance to Voltas. Also as far as I know Volta variants are have not been breed in captivity in mass numbers. Probably yours have a Chad variant strain as some Chads have darker base color just like yours. Chad, Nigerian and Guinea endlis were the first parents regional variant that have been mix in farms. So your endli could have any of those three.

Thx for the answers bro :)
