I am researching the building of a deep room divider tank Dimensions:1730mm x1200mm x770mm. Pilkington glass manufacturer recommend using 2x 15mm sheets toughened heat soaked glass laminated together to withstand the hydrostatic pressure, they also recommend either fin bonding or a frame. So who am I to disregard advice of the worlds top glass specialists .So as fin bonding is ugly I have decided on a welded frame 50x50x3mm angle iron. I have ruled out acrylic having worked with it for years it unavoidably scratches. Does anybody have any thoughts on these specifications?

so, why so deep, just curious, i know mins at 30" deep or 762mm roughly, 24" wide or 610mm, and 60" long or 152mm, and reaching to the bottom of that thing is almost too much work. but, in any case you should be using plate/sheet glass of a 19-25mm thickness to do what you want, little overkill doing what sounds like tempered glass 15mmx2. As far as the bracing goes you dont really need a frame, i personaly went euro bracing on mine, dont have any problems with it.

the only other question what are you gonna keep in this guy.

heres a pic if that helps
