I had some concerns with my retic. (He had some netting stuck on his stinger). I got it off and I have noticed considerable healing around the area. He's active and eating well and my water conditions are staying great (with regular water changes).
This is my first ray and I am hooked. I changed my whole tank to accomodate him but it was worth it. What fascinating little creatures!
