Very Expensive Jar

I was @ a lfs the other day & they had a jardini that was approx. 14".
It was a nice looking fish,alittle drop eye in one eye.
So I look at the price,$1000.00.
I cant figure out why it was so much,what could cause the price to be so high?
Is there some rare,gold sh*tting jars I never heard off?
