very interesting fishing day

Well, me and my dad went out to go fishing with these big bamboo poles, just for small bass and sunnys and stuff ( they got no reel). We were catching abunch of small perch. My dad had a little perch, put it back in the water for bait. He gets a huge bite, and was fighting with this 13 foot bamboo pole . I saw alittle of the fish when he brought it up, it looked like a pretty large muskie. After about 3 minutes of fighting the fish spit the perch out . I tryed the same thing, caught a small perch, threw it back. About 4 seconds after i put it in i had a very large fish. Pulled it up and it was a huge LMB. The largest one i personally have ever seen. Well that spit the perch out to. Then to top it all off, i checked on our 2 carp poles and the bait was off both . Godd day but bad day of fishing.

yah, it is really good fishing after it got cleaner. plus there is a milfoil line like 30 feet out of our dock, makes really good bass fishing. But still cant get bowfin

Yea I have seen Bowfin up in lake brophy, my grandparents used to live on it and catch them and use em for fertilizer.

haha yah my grandpa got one about a year ago at his cabin. I personaly have never got a fish on that lake. he just threw it in the woods

Next time try a rod and reel. Would have landed those monsters. Sounds like a blast!

i would have, ha, but i had no clue there were going to be that big of fish.

I think using game fish as bait is also illegal in MN. But... a larger hook probably would have helped as well.
