And I just thought this photo helped illustrate how hard it can be to get the fish into the "sweet spot" with just one overhead flash. The male is over exposed as he's too high in the tank directly below the flash. The female is under exposed as she's about 6" outside and above the "sweet spot". So for this photo the actual sweet spot was about 6" directly below the male. I end up with lots of photos like this and spend lots of time while the fish display just outside of the sweet spot. The sweet spot occupies about a 8" wide area about 4" tall and 6" front to back. Not easy! Small fish are tough as is.
