I am looking to sell my 2 Albino Red Oscars, both roughly 11", and my Pleco, which is roughly 14.5". These guys are simply too big for a 55g tank and I want to convert to an African tank. These Oscars have been together since they were about 1" so I would love to see them go as a pair. The pleco is having trouble turning around in the tank so I need to get him out ASAP. I'm asking $55 each for the oscars and $50 for the pleco. Or will sell all together for $130. Pick-up only.

Note: I would like to see these guys go to a home of about 125g or more.

Hello,

Probably wont get hardly anything for the oscars since they are like a dime a dozen at the LFS. Good Luck though. I will consider adopting them if no one purchases them from you. I have a 125G and an empty 110G.

Thanks

But they rarely get this big in a common household. Everyone goes by the "grows to its surroundings" rule with these guys and you never get to see them flourish.

U probably need a bigger tank.. almost has to be that 6ft or 8ft long tanks... 11" oscar and 14" Pleco is HUGE.... giants of their species... Trust me.. make sure those tanks are at least 6ft long..

And post pic of thse giants.... makes it easier for people to comprehend the size of these fish...

at that size you'll pretty much have to give them away on here UNLESS they are something special, in which case you'll have to post pics

good luck none the less ... if you really want to make money off of them, try craigslist.

Not to be rude, but those prices are pretty high. At those prices it would be hard to sell them at. None the less, I'm glad that they are finding a permanent home and good luck the the sale. :D

Well what would be the highest I could get out of them?

I've decided I'm going to let all of my fish in my 55g go for $100. That includes these 3, a ~4.5" Red Oscar, ~2.5" Firemouth, ~2" Texas, and ~3" Albino Red Tiger. I want them gone relatively quickly so I can convert it to an all African tank.

Still extremly high prices especially for such small sized south americans. $10 bucks each is more likely the prices you will get for these fish. Even LFS sells these fish at larger sizes for less. Sorry about the news.

I agree with what others said - but whatever is in the eye of the beholder- some oscars might fetch higher price than others if they're monsters and have desired look to them depending on the oscar hobbyist. PIX is what will get your money/attention depending on your fish how they look and how unusual it might be etc many just assume its a run of the mill farmed fish commerically available etc
