Came home and noticed my 750 was cloudy and had poo like stuff all over the bottom. As I looked closer I found these two tiny little babies. They are from my Jag pair. Not sure what happened but for some reason she decided to abort. Definitely a sad day for sure.
My friggin BS luck seems contagious.
Hopefully it's not entirely and mom will be OK.
Possible the male was just too persistant? I'm drilling and plumming a tank for my males as we speak. Lil bastids are goin to timeout.
Really sorry for your loss man...... It may not make you feel any better but know you're not alone.
Hope you don't take it the wrong way, but I know when it happened to me I couldn't help but feel like a complete failure. If it happened to you a week later I can't help but feel slightly relieved as maybe it's just part of having rays and maybe it's nothing we as keepers can control?
Not going to sweat it too much. I separated the male and female tonight. I noticed he had been biting her pretty hard almost everyday last week. Probably stressed her out. Wish there was a way to tell if the female was pregnant earlier. I kept them together because I just did not know if he had gotten her. Maybe he sensed she was going to let them go because he was biting the crap out of my tiger as well, like he was in extreme mating mode or something.
Yeah DB, only pm me with good news from now on LOL! Maybe that will rub off. I shipped my last 3 wild discus on Monday and the post office damaged the box so bad they could not deliver. I got word yesterday that it was returning to sender. This means the discus are dead and smelly and now I have to file a claim. Then today this. Jeez
