Is there anything I can do for a very sick (dieing?) P Bass. It's about three months old, two days ago eating fine on Tilapia. Today it's laying on the bottom breathing hard with a red tinge to it dorsal and pectoral fins. Other two Bass are fine, water parameters are 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 5 nitrates. They are in a 40 gal long growout with about 500 gph turnover. I doubt there's anything that can be done, just wanted to make sure. Thanks

Most likely being picked on seperate if you can ..Pics would be beter tho....

if its breathing hard raise the oxygen level in the tank its stressed oxygen all ways helps also if you didnt allready add some aquarium salt it helps them absorb oxygen into there gills HULON is probably right about the cause but if you cant move it or seperate blacking out the tank helps also

bummer yeah buddie bass are super tempermental sometimes i have a small tank i put the problem fish in when they get too aggressive it reminds me of putting a kid in time out they sit there and pout but yet hes the same jerk fish thats scrapping up all the other ones
