Hi i have a six inch texas cichlid that has been ill for the past few days. I do not have a quarentine tank available as it has fry from two of my other fish in it at the moment. He is in a 55gal divided from the other fish so they dont pick on him. Originally about a week ago he started to get sick and my jack dempsey beat on him a little. He got better and was acting normal now he is back to being sick and not moving much at all. Currently he is resting against a rock on the bottom of the tank with very drab colors(very dark). He seems to be breathing fine but is not moving and not using his tail just maintining his balance with his pectoral fins. I have noticed that he has white things hanging off of the bottom of his gills. I have done a major water change and increased the temperature of the tank to 80 degrees as well as adding/replacing salt from the water change. I do weekly water changes and i will get you water paramaters as soon as I can however I do not know if the fish will make it through the weekend. I would like to know if anyone knows what else i should do. I currently am not home and cannot provide pictures. I will try and have some this evening for anyone who would like to help.

Thanks,
