Hello all my smallest ID shark which is about 2'' is very skittish. My biggest about 3.5'' is not skittish. Anyways everytime I take the cover off the fish tank to feed these guys or do a water change or what ever he goes crazy. He swims upside down, jumps out of the tank, and even tries to hide under a rock. Is there anyway to stop this??? I am putting a 4'' silver arowana in there today and I don't need the ID shark to make him jump out. If he don't stop I'll feed him to my 13'' TSN...he'll enjoy him as a snack!:D:D:D

ID sharks are very active fish...it's natural behavior in there part. they are always startled everytime they notice a change in there environment..that's just the way they are...i've had ID sharks for 13 yrs. get used to it.

id shark or one of the most skittish fish you can get
thare is nothing you can do
and feed catfish to catfish is not a good thing to do
the sharp spines get stuck in its throat
your tsn can die from it
but toilets cant die from a 2" id shark lol

I.D. Sharks are one of those fish that doesn't belong in the hobby IMO. They grow huge fast and are used as a food fish in asia. They

Sorry as I was saying, they spook easily (ever see a large one without a banged up face or eyes?) In nature they swim in open water in very large schools. They are actually a catfish not a shark. They should be left in the wild or in a large public aquarium.

you cannot lower the temp with the new baby arow coming.. maybe the LFS can take him..arow baby needs calm tank...
