hey guys, well my silver is about 4 inches long and he is in a 125g all by himself and anytime i come near the tank he goes crazy i tried leaving the lights off but he just is super skittish. Is there anything I can to do make him less skittish?

Mine is ultra sensitive to reds, yellows, oranges.
Yes the colors.
anyone as much as stands up off the couch wearing these
has to mop the floor themselves. cause I warned em.

It's freakin bazaar but it's true

its just something they get used to - when i had my aro it was in a 4ft tank in bedroom and was very skittish - i moved it to a 6ft in the livingroom where there was what i call "high traffic" - friends/family walking past all the time. after a few weeks of this my silver was fine. just get them used to movement and they will soon calm down

Floating plants can help calm them, also you need to spend as much time at the tank as you can. Eventually it will get used to yourt presense. Also in such a large tank it would be best if you always feed in the same spot of the tank. The arowana will quickly learn where to go for food.

I agre with Brian. Take the time to sit infront of the tank when you feed him. Once the aro remembers that you give him food he won't be as skittish. I did that method for two weeks straight and now my three silvers rush to the front when they see me. Best of luck to you and your aro ;)

+1 for moving to hi-traffic areas.

my silver would jump out a lot of the time right when i enter my room.

imo moving the aro into high traffic areas will just stress the fish even more.
