Never seen this behavior before out of any cichlids that I have owned whether past or present.

My largest oscar in a tank with only 3 other tank mates, polypterus lapredei, red belly pacu and a bristlenose pleco is starving for attention from me.

He is actually jumping up hitting the cover then he swims to the side of the tank where I currently am closest to. Watching over me to see if he is getting my attention.

Crazy to think this? Not entirely sure just yet. I know all about the behavior or oscars as I have kept a good many of them and currently have 3 in total currently. I know they are like puppies and give the look of hey feed me I'm hungry but never have I seen one just trying to get my attention.

definetly normal oscar behavior, that's why they are called water dogs...:)

your oscar is 350% normal. BTW, how big is the tank. I ask cause of the pacu...

pacu is small.... at least for the moment. They will be going into a larger tank when I get my basement fixed up. I'm still trying to plan my party room down there, and figure out how I want to get everything going. I'll most likely get something installed in the 200+ range as there will be other fish joining them at that point.
