VERY stubborn green spot algae

I have had a problem with green spot algae for about 3 months now! i tried to wait it out and reduce the lighting but it still there! i try waiting for it to die off on its own and im getting tired for telling guest I have an alge infestation lol. Any advice? thank you

What is your nitrate level? Phosphate will also cause a bad algae problem.

Was there ever a solution to this problem I am facing the same thing. I did a partial water change and cleaned out my filters. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Algae scrubber would sort it out but not sort the root of the problem. Go dark for 48 hours(wrap the tank in towels, no light) after scraping it all off. Do a 50% water change at 24 hours. Then reduce your lighting cycle, keep your tank out of direct sunlight. All will help, good luck with it.
