i don't know if im allowed to write this here, but i did. i know some of you know me, and know what i have. but i've had my 400gal tank (which includes meilings aro) for over a year and a half now, i've had it setup since january of 07. its been running non stop since, full of fish since january of 07. i haven't had any issues with the setup until recently when my sump plastic bin cracked or something and caused it to leak all over the floor lol so i replaced it.

so months n months n months later, everythings been smooth sailing. then yesterday i get home from a long day of work/whatever and i do my usual, step into the garage to hang out with the fellas n smoke n cig n what not and its pure silent! my setup is loud btw. i seen bubbles tho, lighting. but no filter running and the water level dropped 3 inches... walk around back, everythigns still plugged in. so i grab the pump and yank it out, unplug it n plug it back in, nothing. so i go to take it apart n this is what i find:
some screw's i needa remove:

after i yanked those out i notice immediately the rod is in 2?

then i notice the not so circular path the main rod goes thru:

so i yank out the main impeller and find this

and the magnetic part on the impeller looks like this

did this happen cuz i didn't maintain it or something? i thought these things jus keep going lol.

another question, is it possible to just reorder the parts that are screw'd up? new main middle rod, new impeller/magnetic part? thanks

Everything has an expiration date, why do you think the manufacturer's time their warranties perfectly. Yes you should be able to replace the damaged parts. I would do a google search for the "brand and model # + Replacement parts".

roger that. been searching google for a bit tho and can't find one for my model number, only the one smaller then mine. i have the Via Aqua 8000 series and keep finding replacement impeller assemblies for the 4200 series which has smaller parts im assuming. the search continues
