viable idea for a 125g

So I'm getting a 125g for $60 off CL that doesn't have a stand. Not sure what I'm stocking it with yet.

Do you guys think this idea could be expanded for a 125g?

I'd add an extra post of cinder blocks and use plywood on top of the 2x4s on top.

I just built my first woodworking project that came out level so I'd much rather do this than a wood frame.

yes you can , i did with a 120 g today 3 stack high , with 2x4 + plywood + styrofoam pad ($2 dollars for 2'x4' @ home depot)

i used 12 bricks , 3 each corner . everything cost $40 dollars w/o paint

Did you guys use an adhesive to keep the blocks together or does the weight hold them?

single stacked I would use an adhesive unless you only stack two blocks high. stacked so the blocks interlock there should be no need for adhesive unless you are in earthquake territory
