viable pair?

so i have a (supposed, got it after it was dropped off at a lfs) jeff rapps wild caught red devil female and a geo brasiliensis male. she has been around him since they were together in the tank. she is 5 inches, he is about 12. it looks like her egg tube dropped. is this a viable pair? sorry for pics, im just never good at getting them to look good

Could be wrong here, but thinking no bc geo is SA cichlid. Both great looking fish though.

Hmmm. Looks like that thing could breed with a green terror. I see similarities.

so a little over a day and a half and she's still guarding the eggs. a lot more than i thought too. about 1/4 of the inside of a clay pot is just covered in eggs. a few turned white but 99% still brownish. no dark spots in the eggs. im really not expecting much but she is acting like she expects some babies. we'll see over the next few days.

Another 24 hours.Eggs the same. A few white ones but still brown. About 2.5days i'm figuring when i wake up tomorrow they'll be all white or eaten...but we shall see
