my male retic was found curled up yesterday morning, apparently havng died over night. fed around 10pm monday their usual blood and black worm dinner, and he ate and pounced on the feeding tube as normal. went to bed and he was swimming around looking for food. By the time i got home around 8:30am yesterday, found him in an advanced state of disc curl, and already gone.

my other ray is perfectly fine. still eating his worms and the ghost shrimp, so are all the other members of the tank. wasent stressed, as my water is absolutely perfect, and none of my fish bother the rays what so ever.

best conclusion, sudden stingray death. least i know he had a much better home here for a few months than good chances are he would have anywhere else. atleast thats what ill tell myself.....

absolutely sucks. my girl thinks im crazy. its the first fish ive ever owned that actually brought tears to my eyes to bury. never quite been so attatched to one of my fish before:screwy:

That sucks. Sorry for your loss bro!

The fishes in the 75g aqua are big? Is the water real fine?

That sucks.

nope, all still juvi's awaiting transplant to my 250 with the pacu's, once i sell the devil and dempsey. all fish are 3" and under, minus the BGK who is 6"

my female ray was the biggest, and she's around 6" disc, and another 8" tail. the male was maybe an inch or two smaller, and had an even longer tail :cry:

That stinks, can all of those fish in your signature be kept with rays? I've heard a lot of people say that most cichlids will pick at stingrays eyes.

sorry for your loss..sometimes i think it is worse finding them suddenly gone..although i hate when they linger.. but the questions keep popping up and you have no answers.. when they were well one minute and gone the next.

Sorry.... It's always worse when the no apparent reason thing happen, you do your best, everything is optimum and it just happens, for some reason everyone goes through the same thing no matter what type of fish you keep:(

Hope the others continue to be ok...
