I bought a lake victorian female over the net described as a fire red, but I can easily tell it's not. This fish has one horizontal stripe and around 5 veritcal stripes. The top fin also has a very thin strip of red on it. The bottom fin is yellow. Do you think this fish can be an inbred?

The problem is it bred with another one of my vics that I have no idea of what it is too! This fish becomes extremely dark blue when trying to mate or pissed off; with the top, rear, and bottom fin being red. In normal dress it is light blue with only veritcal stripes and the fins are faded red.

I know it's maybe impossible to i.d. these fish from my lame descriptions but I don't want to create inbreds.

I'll be able to take pics tonight at around 9'30 mountain time.

Thanks!

:iagree:

Vics are harder to ID, especially females.
