Victorian suggestions for a small tank?

I'm setting up a 30 gallon for my nephews first tank. I was thinking of setting up a single species tank. I've showed him pictures of some cichlids and he seems to like the Victorians. I was thinking a nice group of juveniles would be cool.

Anybody have any suggestions on breed? or tips as we set this up?

P. Nyererei(dont check my spelling) will color up and breed very small. Like under 2 inches. they will eventually get bigger though.

I have a nice little trio of Christmas fulu in a 20H. They are doing well and the male is stunning.

I thought of the Fulu as well but they seem harder to find. Am I just having bad luck or is that normally a hard fish to find?

They can be difficult to find, but they are a lot more common. There is a guy in NY that is a wholesaler and I beleive he sells them. MAC Exotics I think?

I have a few Ruby Greens in my main tank - I love them, but they just don't seem to color up as young as some of these other Vic's seem to.
