I just kinda laughed to myself when my discus started laying eggs a few months ago. All I could think of was some of the people who said that you shouldn't keep discus with rays because the rays would stress them out and/or see them as food (im sure it has happened to some people, don't get me wrong)
Seems as though my discus are happy enough to try breeding. They eat the eggs more then likely because they know they wouldn't survive, heck they usually eat the eggs even if there are other discus around.

i know, luckily its a rena heater that hardly gets warm to the touch and only turns on every once in a while for about 30-60 seconds. But if I separate them I will provide them something better to lay eggs on.
