rescued this little girl last year..she was about an inch and is about 2 1/2 inches now and a little fatty.

I was told after rescuing her to put her down due to her deformity/injury ....i didn't (duh) and this is why!

she seems in no way hindered by her missing tail and is just as cute and ever!!!!

enjoy!

Nice set up and video.
thank you ^_^

i forgot to mention i got pink fry out of these two..is one of them mixed?

or is it normal to get about 40% pink?

I'm glad to see she's doing well! Her male is beautiful too.

WOW! she is stellar, shame about her tail. oh well, it's character!

someone correct me if i'm wrong but i believe if both parents look normal and produce some pink babies, then both parents would have to be mixed (in other words; both parents carry "pink" genes).

^_^ she is a lovely little thing,....and that is neat to know...got them at the same store but in diffident batches. both mixed^_^ a lfs around me has a male marbled con..and he is soooo pretty..i want one.

^ That is correct for that ratio to hav e a recessive pink gene. Awesome tank!

YAY! ^_^ and ty...from what i have seen cons are not normally kept in planted tanks but i love plants!....they seem to enjoy them as well...they plow a huge ball of java moss around the tank all the time, its funny to watch them shove it around, and even more amusing to watch them try to figure out how to chase there fry out of it to keep them all together
