My male Aequidens sp. 'Gold Saum' lives in a 55g tank with 3 senegal bichirs, a 4 inch texas, and a 3 inch female convict.

Emp 280 and Eheim canister, with 90% water changes weekly. Fed omega one, shrimp, worms.

Texas isn't permanent, hes just there growing up to learn his place at the bottom of the pecking order.

Driftwood will be coming out, I need to re deco soon.

May I ask why you do such large water changes though?

Overstocked, and I feel that large water changes are the best thing you can do for most fish.

My fish are never stressed by these, and will eat while the tank is being refilled.


As you can see, his pectoral fins are a little chewed (not much), that pesky convict is trying to get the texas to breed with her, so shes being *****y.

Big water changes make nice finnage, and FAST growth, in my experience.
