they are macs? i was looking and at 2" they look just like a spilo?

Mac has few common names, such as gold piranha, gold spilo, etc.
sanchezi has few common names, such as red spilo, red throat piranha, etc
but those are not the true Serra. Spilopleura.

here's a mac

whats the size difference in those pics? their coloration at two inches right now matches the spilo, is that only because they are juvies? in a short description, they have black spots on the upper part of the body, and on the lower they are a goldish yellow color that darkens into an intense yellow on the anal fin. but three of the four have an intense black patch on their gill plate, not solid but it is splotched onto there so to speak and the smallest isn't quite as distinguished as the other three, but is just not as thick, tall, or even aggressive. could this be a female?

yup i got macs. thanks man. i was getting a little frustrated with id.
