I finally got back down to the keys and did a ton of snorkeling, fishing and other stuff. I made a video and thought I would share as many of you will probably appreciate the array of marine life :D Enjoy!

p.s. This is the first time I ever tried video recording while snorkeling so sorry if its a little rough... (most of the first half I filmed, most of what was filmed after the turtle was the hubby)....

Cool vid nice job for a first attempt. I love the keys.

Very nice video. I have never been to the keys but tossing around the idea of going next summer. Looking at a day scuba/snorkel a day fishing and few relaxing in Key West, any recommendations for snorkeling/scuba or fishing?

Thank you

bbortko- snorkeling off a boat I would check out boca chica and looe key. Snorkel off the beach - Bahia honda is awesome during high tide (considerings it cost me $9 total to get into the park - i dont have to pay to snorkel) - its a mix of seagrass and coral. I scuba dive but I found I can get in more trips to reefs snorkeling than scuba diving due to the price difference. The reefs are not more than 30ft deep (I am not sure if you free dive or can dive down deep while snorkeling but that is what I did so I could go just as deep but save the money and do more trips).

I have no comments for key west I am not a huge fan of it. I am not big on tourist like stuff.... However if you can get out to the dry tortugas national park and snorkel around there its a pretty awesome place to check out too... (it will be $160ish a person to go)

As for fishing you can book privat boats but expect to pay $500+ easy for half day. I decided to do party boats instead. I like Bud N Marys party boat- good people a lot of fun and the deli on their doc is good. I wouldn't get your hopes up fishing off the beach or bridges - you don't catch much and mostly small stuff.

Make sure you book everything ahead of time esp. if it is busy season. If you plan to camp then book a year ahead. I would personally book 4-6 months ahead of time.

Thanks for the tips, I'll look into them when the time comes to start booking.
