Diet and Feeding Carnivorous, feed a variety of foods including pieces of marine fish flesh and shrimp. Readily accepts most meaty foods.

He does eat shrimp, but not witht he vigor of the SFE and White Eye. Have you kept a Goldentail before?

I love the video of the eels, that white eye was crackin me up, what a bottomless pit.

Yes I have 2 of them now. Mine will also eat scallops and shrimp but only if there are no fish to eat. I feed them mostly smelt and sometimes they will eat a shrimp or two.

Very cool eels and very friendly also.

Thanks for the info, I have smelt and silversides in the freezer. I'll give it a try. I just thought this guy was a timid eater. Compared to my other two he's the lamb and they are the wolves.

Lol yeah, mine live with a White mouth and a brazillian dragon, both of which are pigs when it comes to eating, they even go as far as ripping food out of the mouths of everyone in the tank. I have to get them fed first then I can get the Golden tails to eat afterwards.
