I'm seeing this open cut since today noon and I'm not sure it's a wound that happened to fighting with another vieja or its some kind of infection. Pls advise

I’d dab some methylene blue on it and triple sulfa to the tank.
 
This type infection was common when argentea was first brought into the hobby, and was a bit of a mystery (considered incurable at the time).
One theory on cause, is the need for enough water movement
Argentea usually prefer habitat with a wall of moving water, such as the strong flow of a river, or laminar current in certain areas of lakes, and in turn very high dissolved oxygen content.
Much more than most aquarists considers adequate.
Don't know your aquariums flow situation, but if its a low water movement type with only minor pump strength, or simple aeration, I would add a wave maker that pushes water quite strongly along the entire length of the tank.
Although the argentea I kept didn't present with infections, without strong water movement I found them to be hyper aggressive
