It looks fairly young to me, and they are difficult to tell even as adults, yours looks like a juvie.
How big is it? For me it only becomes easy to tell at about 5 to 6 inches or more.
Males tend to have a steep profile, less black markings and long fin trailers.
Below a young male.

now a female, note the gentle profile slope, and extra black marks

Gotcha but if you had to guess would you say male or female with your experience ?

If I had to , like Kno4te said, it could be a female, but if its under 5", and that's less than a 50/50 stab.
Because if its under 5 " obvious argentea gender traits may not yet be developed.
and there are also other factors that determine outward sexual presentation
Are there other cichlids in the tank?
if so, and if any one is more dominant than the argentea at this point, it could effect the way argentea gender is presented.
You also have very bright white substrate, that can effect the way outward gender cue colors are shown .
I had 11 of these at one point. And of all, I could only tell which was the lone alpha male, all others looked female.
At that point he started killing all other cichlids in the tank, starting (I assume) with any other males, then any unreceptive females.
