I'm going to be doing some searches on the Vieja Argentea. Would like to put them in my 125 once all my jacks are gone. Don't know much about them. thanks for any info.

As they grow they become super ***^^holes.the larger the tank the better.

I have 4 in a 150 gal. along with a mix of other cichlids. Got them when they were 1 1/2 inchers...they're 3 inches now. So far, no aggression from them at all. I think the dominant unfaded red texas (10 inches) is keeping them all in check. Will likely have to thin out this stock as they grow but will keep this community/growout tank together for as long as they're all getting along.

I currently have one in my 240, he is mean. When I had him in the 500 he was perfect, not much trouble out of him. I just got a 220 today so going to try him in that instead of a square 240 and see how it goes. But VERY beautiful fish.

Awesome fish! I have 1 in my 150g community tank with other Sa/Ca cichlids, he's about 7", not that aggressive tords other cichlids, runs when bigger fish swim by him, but will hold his own!

Those are some nice looking fish. A friend of mine has some Argentea around 3 inches that he is growing out. I plan on trading him a couple of my little Carpintis for a couple of his Argentea.

They look beautiful. I had one for about 6 months and things started out well but he gradually started picking on all of his tankmates, even a big arowana. They're pretty active fish, just a little too aggressive for my setup.

Here's my old Argentea. View attachment 972588
