I was wondering how aggressive this vieja is,since people have said the Argentea is less aggressive?Since I can not find one at the right price,I figure I would ask and see if this Vieja Bifasciatus would be a good tankmate with the rest of my cichlids, the Oscar,JD,GT,Texas,Severum, and Salvini? The size of this cichlid is 3 inches to be exact.
thanks

I would not consider argentea non-agressive, I had a male that had a 12" dovii and similar size managuense backed into opposite corners of a 150 gal tank.
I do find bifasciatum less aggressive, unless breeding.
Because your other cichlids have different body shapes and coloration than the bifas, you may be safe

The argentea was between 8" and10", he was given his own tank to keep from killing the 2 Parachromis and anything else in the tank. The only thing that would stand up to it was a zonatus female.

yes I guess I could agree on that its only 1 way to find out and that is to try.Its always a 50 50 chance with any cichlid either way.
