How bad is conspecific aggression between vieja species? I have a 6 foot tank with a Bifasciatus (5 inches) who is very mild mannered. I was thinking of adding in another vieja such as a Regani or Synspillum, but I'm not sure if it would work. I am planning on putting in an order with Jeff Rapps in a couple months for some other fish, but would love to add another vieja onto my "to buy list" if you guys think it would work. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,
Katie

Sounds fine. I've personally never seen 2 unmated vieja's fight. Regani and Synspillum are very calm. Vieja Argentea can get a little aggressive. Carful or you might run into some hybrids eventually.

Thanks for the input :) I would ask for a Vieja of the same sex, but I have no clue what sex mine is. I'm not wanting a breeding pair though. Maybe I'll order a few and hope that I end up with 2 that get along.

Does anyone else have experience to share?
