That would be an oppinion......They range from medium mean to extremely mean. They seem to be most mean toward other vieja if that helps....

I've seen some relatively mild synspilum, but I can't say how they compare to most other Vieja.

Cichlids all have the abillity to be mean, its all down to individual fish. I had a Syn that was no problem at all, that was untill he decided he wanted to mate, then all hell broke loose and i had to divide up the tank untill i could get rid of him.
