It has taken me a long time too figure out my favorite kind of fish.
I have decited too go with Viejas.
I will be outgrowing them in a 100g.
What tank size will they need when they grow up:)

Im going with:

1x Vieja maculicauda 2"
1x Vieja intermedia 2"
1x Vieja fenestrata 2"
1x Vieja Zonata 4"
1x Vieja argentea 3"
1x Vieja hartwegi 2"
1x Vieja Godmanni 3"
1x Vieja bifasciatum 3"
1x Vieja synspila 2"

Do you think there will be a problem?

Oh i didnt know that, i thought they would be rather calm, exspecially to other Viejas.
Will it be so bad that they will kill each other?

Yes, definitely. Black belts, zonatus, and fenestratus are all killers. The meanest, most relentless fish I ever owned was a female zonatus.

Ok, could i have 3 Zonata with 3 argentea?
Those 2 are the one i like the most.

Interesting - I guess everyone's milage may vary, but I keep 2 short-bodied blackbelts that are about 1 year old (4 1/2 inches long) with 2 fenestratus that are 2 years old (male - 7 inches, female 6 inches) and 2 of the fenestratus fry that are 9 months old (4 inches).... No issues - at all.

The adult fenestratus were there first - the blackbelts added later, and the 2 young fenestratus were kept from the adults first brood.

How many " per month do Zonata and argentea grow?

I'd say you haven't had problems as your fish are still quite small as far as vieja sp go. They don't tend to reach full maturity for quite a while. My zonatus was in a community setting until she hit 8-9", and then she went mad.

And not to side track the post but 4.5" for a year old black belt is really small...even short bodied. I have a normal one that's 6 months old and is 5". Same with the fenestratus...7" for a 2 year old vieja just doesn't seem right.

I've owned both and will say that zonatus will destroy the argentea. As far as growth I had about 1" a month for zonatus, and at most .5" a month for argentea. My argentea is now over a year old and is only 7".
