After a very cold water change the heterospila were triggered into spawning.

A bit of inexperience played its part today. The pair left the nest to feed and didn't notice the female deppi helping herself until the female saw her.

Lets hope there's still some eggs left. This is their first spawn, hopefully they will learn from this mistake.

Thanks, it was difficult to get the photos as these fish are right at the back, about 3ft away. The overhanging wood plays havoc with shadows on some of the shots.
