Vieja Heterospilus pics

Guys I have been debating on what vieja to add to my tank and decided to go with a heterospilus. Can anyone heterospilus owners post some pics not many on google. I just wanna see what other members fish looks like so I know what to expect. Thanks

Here are 2 pics of the same fish, he started 1.5 inches in a 90 with chocolates about the same size, but when he got around 4-5 inches was picking fights, so I had to re-home him.

I purchased mine when they were about 1.5".



A little over a year later they they are ~4". Colors are modest, but the silver and black pattern with bluish-green fins is attractive, and at times there is a coppery sheen to the body. They quarrel with other fish in the tank now and again, but for a Vieja they are mild mannered.

Are they better kept in pairs? Meaning if I order just one and keep him with an hrp and metae will it color up or will it be drab looking ? Most pics I see there are multiple heterospilus

A very underrated fish......very attractive, not overly aggressive and don't get huge....

Mine is feisty and will flare up at my red bay snook who is just a bit bigger than him. Otherwise shows no interest in the pleco or bichirs in the tank. All other cichlids are bigger so no issues there. Seems to be able to hold his own even though he is the smallest fish in the tank.

My friend had one and it got along with all his tankmates good although they were not very nice.
