Just recently picked this guy up from my lfs, He was sold to me as a Black Belt, Its tail tinted red & its dorsal fin has a blue/green tint, I've never owned one of these & not sure what they look like as juvi's, If anyone has any info on gender & personality, would be appreciated, also are these fish fast or slow growers?

I don't see anything that makes me think it's not a black belt. never kept them though so can't answer the other questions unfortunately

I have one. Mine is a typical Vieja, not overly aggressive, but it's involved in some way with every dust up that happens in the tank. Mine is pretty slow growing, but it was like 5-6 inches when I bought it, too.

Ok, mine is definitely not she, He's all over the tank, when it come to feeding, He's right up their waiting at the top with my amph's, definitely a cool fish so far!!!
