No it isn't a fight. I have juvies of both and I'sd like to know which one you'd keep. The bifas are more out front and beg for food, the black belt hides a lot. They are in the same tank. I'm gonna grow them out and decide, but I'd like some opinions from you folks too. Some of the bifas are already showing some red freckles on gillplates.

BIFA!!!!! More rare around my parts. More up front when younger although BB's will come up front after they start to mature.

Bifa bifa BiFa BIfa bIfa bifA BIFAAA!!!! LOL

black belt man myself, they are alittle rough on tank mates but the adult coloration is awesome

Thanks. Keep em coming!

I say keep 1 male of each. Both have qualities the other does not have and if they are growing up together chances are you can get 2 that will live together.

I plan to keep the fish in a 75 gallon, which is the tank they are currently in now. It may not work well with both in that small of a tank. I generally do a single, show quality speciment in a single tank and keep them as "wet pets". The bifas are actually a little over 2" and the black belt is 4". No color on the black belt right now except the tail and edge of the dorsal has some red. I have no idea of the sex of these fish either, and I plan on keeping a male so if the black belt is female she goes back to the original owner.

my black belt has excellent color at 3" starting to get red under its neck and tail and always stays a blackish sumtimes purple color(feed it bio bold plus, krill and lettuce, yes mine eats lettuce)its in a tank with a synsplilus

Kept em both, enjoyed the colors on the Biafas more, but the personality of the BB better...
