Vieja Melanurum

Hi all, the LFS where I work part time has had a group of Vieja Melanurum in for a while, and they look pretty cool. Has anyone had any experience with this species? Are they more agro than Synspilum? It seems like they get wicked orange colouration when they get large.

I would say most all vieja are pretty aggressive. I don't know about that species in particular, but I am just assuming its a vieja and probably going to get as big as a frying pan and as aggressive as the other viejas.

hi there, I have read that they are not aggresive and are alot like synspilum
in temperment but don't grow as big......alot more orange than the synspilum
.........More rare too.....
