Well my tanks are pretty maxed out at the moment and i have a Regani that I purchased from Rapps about 8 months ago. Its a male and all was going well with him in my Pearsi Tank with a few other fish including a Nic, Nourisatti, and a Altifrons. Over the past few weeks the Regani has started to get very aggressive especially with the Nic (which happens to be 1 of my favorites). Last week I removed the Regani and tried him in another of my large tanks with bad results. I then moved him into a 58 show tank to keep him safe. I am all set to give him up altogether but for some reason i can't make myself do it. Right now he has Ick from being moved around so much but when i get him cured I want to try 1 more move. I have a 55 gallon tank and I know this is small but do any of you think this would work for a single fish? He's really beautiful at about 7 inches but he's just not working in any of my tanks. Should he stay or go? the 55 is the only option at this point and I don't want to move him around anymore. What to you guys think?

get a quarantine tank and treat him
he will reward you as a show fish in a 75+ gallon when he gets to full size
this fish is much nicer than those other fish in terms of colors IMHO when they are full sized

I think you should move him to the 55g until he hits 10" then find a 75G or larger for him. I like regani's.

i am all done with the "one fish to a tank deal"I would rather have multiple fish living together, its just more interesting to me.So i say sell him to me and your problems are solved.:)

He's already in a 58 gallon tank so I'm just going to leave him there for now. I'm pretty sure he got ick from being stressed. The 58 is a cube style tank so i wouldn't want to leave him in that. I think he'll be happier in a standard 55 long for awhile until I figure things out so I'm treating with salt and raised the temp for now until he gets better.

I know what you mean...I HATE to get rid of fish. I can't give you advice but I hope it works out for the best. For the ick make sure you raise the temp to at least 87F and increase the aeriation. GL.

Done. I haven't been able to make myself give up any of my fish lately. Honestly I have the best collection of fish I've had in years, just too many lol. I think the Regani will be ok in the 55 for a while anyway.
