hey does anyone have any experience with this vieja?
http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=104

my lfs has a tank full and I was thinking about adding it to my 6'x2'x2'
with

1 gold saum
1 salvini
6 pictus cats
1 green texas
1 pleco

I'm still setting the tank up I just want to get my stock list together so that I don't see something and just buy it, but I also want a little room left so I can add new stuff later on.

thanks:D

They are very shy and timid even in a community tank. Always first to hide when they see you. I like how they look but not their personality. This is just based on my personal experience.

do these look like good quality regani?:nilly:

They aren't as aggressive as the others you have.

In a tank that size I think it would work. I haven't kept any Vieja, they generally aren't considered especially aggressive though, except maculicauda (black belt).

Mine never hid, it just got the crap beat out of it by any remotely aggressive CA/SA.

They'll do well in a tank where they are the largest fish. I see the gold saum and texas harassing them.

They're pretty weak fish imo. They do very well when larger than everything else. Stunning when they get bigger.
